Cancellation Policy – Bookings 10 people and more: cancellations made more than 7 clear working days before travel (as logged in the Operator’s system audit) may be made without penalty and a full refund will be given to the Customer. Cancellations made less than 7 clear working days before travel will attract a 100% cancellation fee. The Operator has the right to retain all deposits received up to the amount of the cancellation fee and invoices will be issued for any further amounts outstanding.

Weather Cancellations Bookings 9 people or less cancellations made by the Operator, due to inclement weather and this will entitle the Customer to a full refund of the Fare Price. Please note that if the Customer made the booking for travel through a booking agent all refunds of deposits and booking fees are to be obtained directly from the booking agent. Such booking agent may at their discretion retain a booking fee less than or equal to 100% of the price. Bookings 9 people or more - a deposit equivalent to 10% of the entire nett receivable on the booking will be retained by Hot Air as a booking fee.

Make the most of your dawn Hot Air Ballooning adventure with two half hour flights (or a single hour long flight depending on passenger numbers).

Because our balloons are gently carried along by the wind, every flight is different. We have over a hundred different take off and landing sites around the Mareeba Valley, with your launch site being chosen on the morning by our Chief Pilot based on wind direction.

This early hour is essential due to the calm winds, which gently carry your balloon along. You are returned to your accommodation (or Kuranda) with plenty of time to begin other tours the same day

For a truly memorable experience, try a 30 minute dawn balloon flight in the Mareeba Valley. As you glide over this pictuesque landscape you'll see and hear Australian wildlife such as wallabies and birds as they join the dawn chorus.

Afterwards you are treated to a wonderful breakfast at the Mareeba Heritage Centre, and the Aussie Animal Experience where you can learn about and even hold some of our native Australian Wildlife.

Conditions

• Child 4-14 years
• Ballooning is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant.
• It is a CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) regulation that you are able to climb in and out of the basket unassisted

Cancellation & Refunds

If a package booking is cancelled more than 7 days prior to the date that the first product or service is to be provided, the price paid will be refunded in full less any fees charged by Operators and a $25.00 cancellation fee.

If a package booking is cancelled within 7 days of the date that the first product or service is to be provided, all monies paid will be forfeited.
If a day tour is cancelled more than 48 hours before the tour is to be provided, the price paid will be refunded in full less any Operator imposed cancellation fees.

If a day tour is cancelled within 48 hours before the tour is to be provided, the total price paid will be forfeited.
